14.2.2017 Press release
Paulig and Finnkino will add a new dimension to the experience of enjoying a film by bringing Paulig’s coffee points to Finnkino’s cinemas. This new concept enables cinemagoers to enjoy a high-quality coffee moment during the cinema visit.

Paulig has been Finnkino’s main partner for coffee products since the beginning of 2017. Paulig’s premium coffee points will be opened at Finnkino’s cinemas to supplement the customer experience with high-quality brewed coffee and espresso drinks of barista quality. The first coffee points were recently opened at Tennispalatsi and Kinopalatsi in Helsinki. More coffee points will be opened in Finnkino’s other locations around Finland.

“Finns consume more coffee than any other nation in the world. Surveys also show that coffee is a product associated with pampering yourself. For this reason, high-quality coffee and an enjoyable film are a perfect combination. Paulig’s coffee equipment and coffees will have central locations at Finnkino’s cinemas. This makes it easy for cinemagoers to grab a cup of coffee before or after the film. The selection includes familiar brewed coffees as well as trendy drinks, such as flat whites,” says Veli-Matti Korpinen, Field Sales Manager at Paulig.

Paulig’s strong insight into the development of the coffee market and Finnish consumers’ preferences convinced Finnkino to introduce the new concept.
“Paulig showed a strong willingness to develop the customer experience and the selection of delicacies at Finnkino’s cinemas. Even though popcorn, soft drinks and sweets are traditionally popular snacks sold at cinemas, many people are looking for alternatives. We believe that Finnkino and Paulig have succeeded in developing a coffee concept that meets our customers’ needs. We are very enthusiastic about our cooperation,” says Tapio Partanen, Sales Manager at Finnkino.

Recharge with high-quality coffee
In addition to state-of-the-art coffee equipment, Paulig’s coffee concept at Finnkino’s cinemas includes a selection of brewed coffees, such as Paulig Mundo Fair Trade and Organic, and espresso-based coffees, such as cappuccino, flat white, latte and espresso. Paulig’s coffee points have central locations at the cinemas. At Tennispalatsi coffee points are surrounded by seats and recharge points for mobile devices. The coffee points are self-service.
